Nasiyan Digamber Temple Ajmer

The renowned Nasiyan Jain Temple is located at Prithviraj Marg in Ajmer, Rajasthan. After the Golden City was added to the temple in 1895, it came to be popularly called the Sona Mandir ‘or Soni Mandir’, which included the gold structure as well as the family name. The Ajmer Jain Temple, also known as the Rivers of Soniji, is a wonderful example of ornate architecture, and is dedicated to Rishabh or Adinath. Its entrance is made of red stone and the marble staircase inside is engraved with images of the sacred Tirthankars – omniscient teachers of Jainism who taught religion. Built in the 19th century, this temple is counted among the richest temples in India. Whenever someone comes here, they offer much gold, then any rupee, because of this it is counted among the richest temples in India.

The temple is a two-storied structure divided into two parts. One part of the temple is a worship area with a statue of Lord Adinath or Rishabhdev installed, while the other part includes a museum and a hall. The interior of the museum depicts the five stages (Panch Kalyanaka) of the life of Lord Adinath. This temple represents a good example of rich architectural technique.

Best time to visit

The best time to visit here is from November to March. Because the weather is pleasant during this, which makes your journey exciting and you can easily visit the temple. Traveling here during the summer season is not right, because during this time there is scorching heat due to which you may face problems in traveling.

Nasiyan Digamber Temple is a major tourist destination of Ajmer city where you can reach Ajmer by bus, train or air route. And to get from here to the temple you can take a cab / auto.
