Nareli Jain Temple Ajmer
The
Nareli Jain Temple, located about 7 km from Ajmer, is a sacred pilgrimage site
for the Digambara Jains. The Nareli Jain temple made of marble stone remains
popular among tourists for its beautiful architecture and intricate stone
carvings that present both traditional and contemporary forms. This temple is
completely made of stone and is equipped with beautiful shaped gardens all
around.
It is known as the Jinalaya of 24 miniature temples in its vicinity, they
represent the Jain Tirthankaras. The Nareli Jain Temple is an important point
of pilgrimage for the Digambar Jains.
Best time to visit
The best time to visit here is from October last to March starting. Because the weather is pleasant during this, which makes your journey exciting and you can easily visit the temple. Traveling here during the summer season is not right, because during this time there is scorching heat due to which you may face problems in traveling.
Entry fee
- There is no entry fee for Indians in the Nareli Jain Temple.
- For foreigners here – Entry fee of Rs. 10 per person is prescribed.
- Apart from this, if you want to take a digital camera with you, then for this you will have to buy a separate ticket, which costs 50 rupees.
- You will have to pay a fee of Rs 100 to take the video camera along.
How to reach
Adhay Day hut is a major tourist destination of Ajmer. The city is well connected to many major and small cities of India through rail and road networks. Ajmer holds the capital, Shatabdi, Jan Shatabdi, Garib Rath Superfast and fast trains.
Ajmer does not have its own airport but Jaipur and Delhi are the nearest airports from where many domestic and foreign flights operate.
