Junagarh Fort Bikaner
Junagadh Fort, one of India’s most famous forts, is located in Bikaner, one of the most beautiful districts in the Indian state of Rajasthan. This fort is one of the richest and historical kilos in India, which was built by a trusted courtier of the famous Rajasthani ruler Raja Rai Singh. This fort is actually known as Chintamani Fort and Bikaner Fort – Bikaner Fort and was renamed Junagadh in the early 20th century.
Junagadh Fort is surrounded by high walls and deep moat. There are 37 strongholds guarding the fort and the fort is accessible through two gates. There are 37 palaces, temples and pavilions inside the Junagadh fort. All these structures are amazing in red sandstone. The palaces inside the fort have lavishly carved windows, balconies, towers and kiosks. Mirrors, paintings and carved marble panels are worth seeing in Moon Palace. Another attractive palace, Phool Mahal or Phool Mahal inside the fort was decorated with spectacles and mirrors. Other interesting places to see in Junagadh Fort are Ganga Niwas, Dungar Niwas, Vijay Mahal and Rang Mahal. There is a museum in Junagadh Fort, which has an extensive collection of various things related to the past.

Best Time to Visit
Winter (October to February) is pleasant with a mild and cool atmosphere. Temperature levels during winters range between 10°C to 24°C. This is the perfect time to enjoy Bikaner tourism at its best.
Summer (March to June) are severely hot and humid with temperature levels ranging between 36°C and 42°C making it impossible to enjoy outdoor activities. Sunstroke is also a very common occurrence.
Monsoon (July to September) offer low to medium rainfalls in Bikaner. Though the temperature settles down to a more comfortable level, excessive humidity makes it difficult to travel outdoors.
