Hawa Mahal Jaipur
Hawa Mahal in Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, was built in 1799 by Sawai Pratap Singh, the grandson of Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh. Lal Chand Ustad, the architect of the 15-storey five-storeyed pyramiduma palace. The palace is situated on the edge of the City Palace.
Hawa Mahal was named Hawa Mahal because it has high walls for women in the palace so that they can easily observe and see the festival happening outside the palace. This palace is made of red and pink sandstone. The palace has 953 carved windows, some of which are made of wood. These vents were constructed in such a way that the entire building remained cool through fresh air in summer. An archaeological museum is also located in this building.
