City Palace Jaipur

The City Palace in Jaipur is located in the heart of the city. It is the prime location in Jaipur  visited by all tourists. Chandra Mahal, Mubarak Mahal and other buildings are also part of the City Palace. Mubarak Mahal is at the entrance and acts as the Reception of the Palace. The City Palace was built by Sawai Jai Singh between 1729 – 1732 AD.  The architecture is based on different styles of Rajputs, Mughals and Europeans. They are all breathtaking sites.

Chandra Mahal in the City Palace has been converted into a museum . It has a wide variety of handicrafted products and many other royal articles of the olden times which predicts the life of the kings.

The famous gates which also provide entrance to the City Palace are ‘Udai Pol’, ‘Jaleb Chowk’, ‘Tripolia Gate’ and ‘Virendra Pol’. These gates are highly ornated and very attractive.

Timings of the City Palace

The City Palace is opened from  Morning 9 am to Evening 5 pm. It’s open on all days of the week.

Entrance Fee

The entry fee to the City Palace is Rs. 75 for Indian citizens and Rs.300 for Foreigners.
