Nahargarh Fort is situated between the Aravalli hills in Rajasthan. Which is as amazing in appearance as it is also huge. The fort was built in 1734 by Jai Singh II. The fort is also known to shelter many Europeans during the Sepoy Mutiny of 1857. This fort is visible from almost every corner of the city. The cannon placed here are considered to be the largest cannon in Asia. Its shape is estimated from the fact that its shell formed a pond in a village 35 km from the city.

King Sawai Ram Singh has built different housing blocks for the queens, which are also the most beautiful. Modern facilities for defecation etc. were arranged in them. In the west part of the fort there is also a restaurant called “Padao” which is full of catering. Sunset looks very beautiful from here.

Hawa Mahal in Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, was built in 1799 by Sawai Pratap Singh, the grandson of Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh. Lal Chand Ustad, the architect of the 15-storey five-storeyed pyramiduma palace. The palace is situated on the edge of the City Palace.

Hawa Mahal was named Hawa Mahal because it has high walls for women in the palace so that they can easily observe and see the festival happening outside the palace. This palace is made of red and pink sandstone. The palace has 953 carved windows, some of which are made of wood. These vents were constructed in such a way that the entire building remained cool through fresh air in summer. An archaeological museum is also located in this building.

The Lakshmi Narayan Temple, situated at the foothills of the Moti Dogri hill top in Jaipur, is known as Birla Mandir. The temple was built by the Birla group in the 1980s. The City Palace in Jaipur is located in the heart of the city. It is the prime location in Jaipur  visited by all tourists. Chandra Mahal, Mubarak Mahal and other buildings are also part of the City Palace. Mubarak Mahal is at the entrance and acts as the Reception of the Palace. The City Palace was built by Sawai Jai Singh between 1729 – 1732 AD.  The architecture is based on different styles of Rajputs, Mughals and Europeans. They are all breathtaking sites.

Chandra Mahal in the City Palace has been converted into a museum . It has a wide variety of handicrafted products and many other royal articles of the olden times which predicts the life of the kings.

The famous gates which also provide entrance to the City Palace are ‘Udai Pol’, ‘Jaleb Chowk’, ‘Tripolia Gate’ and ‘Virendra Pol’. These gates are highly ornated and very attractive.

Amer Fort situated in Amer, 11 km from Jaipur City. The fort is a very old one , built in 1592 by Raja Man Singh. As it is very old, the appearance from outside may not be impressive, but inside the Fort it is very beautiful and has prominent buildings. Some of them are the ‘Diwani-i-Aam’, the ‘Sheesh Mahal’ and the ‘Sukh Mahal’. Both Hindu and Muslim architecture can be found here.

The ‘Shila Devi’ Temple and the ‘Ganesh Pol’ , the gate that leads to the private palaces of the kings are in the Fort. The Maotha Lake in the Fort adds an additional charm to the entire Fort. Another famous attraction of the Fort is the ‘Magic Flowers’ made by marble.
