Tomb of Imad – Ud – Daulah Agra

Nur Jahan built the tomb of Etamaduddaula on the banks of Yamuna in Agra in memory of his father. Jahangir, the son of Mughal emperor Akbar, gave the title of Atmadud Daula to his Begum Noorjahan’s father Mirza Gias Baig. This tomb of Etmadud Daula and his wife Asmat Jahan was built between 1622 and 1628.
This mausoleum is built in the middle of a garden of the Charbagh system, which is surrounded by high walls from all four sides. Standing on a raised sandstone platform, this tomb is made of white marble. The monument has a parallel quadrilateral central chamber containing the tomb of Wazir and his Begum-Asmat Begum. The tomb of Etmad-ud-daula is famous for its multi-colored embellishments and carvings all over the surface.

Its construction work started in 1630 AD, was completed in about 22 years, in which contribution of about twenty thousand labourers is considered. Its main dome is 60 feet high and 80 feet wide. The Taj Mahal has also been declared the jewel of Islamic art of India. The Taj Mahal was constructed from materials brought from all over India and Asia. More than 1,000 elephants were used for traffic during construction. The parasitic white marble was brought from Rajasthan and Twenty-eight types of precious stones and gems are embedded in white marble had gone.

Usually the Taj Mahal is open daily from 6 am to 7 pm, but on Friday it is closed for Namaz. On the full moon day, the gates of the Taj Mahal are open from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm.

Mehtab Bagh is located in the famous historical city of Agra, Uttar Pradesh. This garden, spread over 25 acres of land on the banks of river Yamuna, was constructed between 1631 and 1635. This garden is similar to the Taj Mahal. This garden attracts tourists who are decorated with flowers and different kinds of trees. There is a large octagonal tank in the middle of the garden, in which the reflection of the Taj Mahal is made. Tourists can view the Anupam Chhath of the Taj Mahal from this garden. Water for this pond was brought from the adjacent waterfall.

Mehtab Bagh was built by Emperor Babur in 1530 AD. However, according to the history of the Taj Mahal, Emperor Shah was looking for a place to build the Taj Mahal, in front of which a lunar or grass-covered ground, as well as the possibility of flooding at that place and which Yamuna Be by the river. They also wanted a panoramic view of the Taj Mahal from that place. After this the garden was constructed as “a moonlight pleasure garden called Mehtab Bagh”.
