Buland Darwaja Ajmer
This door is a memorial to Sultan Mahmud Khilji. Its height is 85 feet and the floor inside is of marble because this door is higher than the total buildings of Dargah Sharif, hence it is called Buland Darwaza. The flag is hoisted above this gate before the start of the Urs festival. The annual festival of Urs begins by hoisting the flag at the Buland Darwaza. The festival of Urs begins after the moon is seen in the month of Rajab, along with the beginning of the Urs festival, there is a change in the daily schedule of the Dargah, and the main entrance to the holy tomb which used to be closed at night is now open to all. Day and night except 2 or 3 hours at night.
Best time to Visit
