Amer Fort Jaipur

Amer Fort situated in Amer, 11 km from Jaipur City. The fort is a very old one , built in 1592 by Raja Man Singh. As it is very old, the appearance from outside may not be impressive, but inside the Fort it is very beautiful and has prominent buildings. Some of them are the ‘Diwani-i-Aam’, the ‘Sheesh Mahal’ and the ‘Sukh Mahal’. Both Hindu and Muslim architecture can be found here.

The ‘Shila Devi’ Temple and the ‘Ganesh Pol’ , the gate that leads to the private palaces of the kings are in the Fort. The Maotha Lake in the Fort adds an additional charm to the entire Fort. Another famous attraction of the Fort is the ‘Magic Flowers’ made by marble.

Timings for tourist visit to the Amer Fort

The fort is opened from Morning 9.30 am to Evening 4.30 pm. The Fort is opened on all days except on Holi.

Entrance Fee to the Amer Fort

The entry fee for the tourists is Rs.25  for Indian citizens and Rs.200for Foreigners.
