Akbari Fort & museum Ajmer

Located in Ajmer in the Indian state of Rajasthan, this historic fort was built by the Mughal emperor Akbar in the 16th century. The Mughal emperor Jahangir conducted military operations from this fort from 1613 to 1616 during his reign. This palace was used as a place of residence for the emperor and his soldiers when they were in Ajmer. In 1908 it was converted into a museum, which houses many Hindu statues from the sixth and seventh centuries and beyond. Most of the textures of these sculptures reflect a mixture of Rajput and Mughal styles.

A large statue of Goddess Kali made of black marble is the most famous attraction here. Ancient military and war equipment, ancient artillery and weapons, statues and stone sculptures can also be seen in this museum.

Best time to visit

The best time to visit here is from November to March. Because the weather is pleasant during this, which makes your journey exciting and you can easily visit the temple. Travelling here during the summer season is not right, because during this time there is scorching heat due to which you may face problems in travelling.
